David DuPont leads a team of real estate professionals (The DuPont Group) under the umbrella of Decker Bullock Sotheby’s Realty. In both 2008 & 2009, Dave sold more homes than any other agent in his firm and brings over 15 years of business experiences to bear for the group including real estate transactions, internet marketing, search engine optimization, and finance. The secret of his success is based in research, late nights and hard work—treating real estate with a level of dedication and professionalism not often found in this business.

Dave approaches the home listing side of the business with the marketing acumen homed by his time at business school studying ecommerce and internet buying habits, combined with real word experience of actually target marketing homes to likely demographic buyers. In 2008, 100% of his home listing sales were sold in average of under 6 days at 98% of the listing price—during a time when the days on market for homes in his area was increasing from 60 to 70 to 80 to 90 days.

As far as working with buyers goes, Dave is well versed in the economic issues that affect home buyers in today’s economy. In order to identify value for folks, Dave believes that he needs a much robust conceptualization of value relative to other agents/buyers in the market place. To this end he created a Marin Home Valuation Software program (see left navigation bar) which utilizes thousands of data points to identify a concept called “Fair Value.”

David DuPont is a Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES) and has consulted more than 100 individuals and families in buying and selling real estate as well as bringing to market the nation’s largest residential real estate transaction in 2005. David received a MBA from Pepperdine University in 2000 with a focus in internet e-commerce techniques, and completed an mini-thesis in "Residential Real Estate and real-time online marketing" in 2007.

Prior to THE DUPONT GROUP, David DuPont was a client account manager at Bessemer Trust, a high-net-worth family office, and worked with several of the Bay Area’s most successful families managing family assets including real estate, wineries and ranches.

David DuPont is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) and is very active in the surrounding community. David DuPont and Jaime DuPont live in Mill Valley with Coleman (6) and Willamina (3) and frequently enjoy all of the fabulous hiking, running, biking, skiing, windsurfing and surfing Marin County homeownership provides.
